Leica Geosystems and the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE) announce their partnership in the BlueParking.eu project to alleviate the parking situation within Europe for persons with reduced mobility. Through a mobile application and a website, locating accessible parking shall become easier in the future – with the support of the European surveying community.
The majority of (digital) maps do not show accessible parking spaces, mostly because they have not been systematically mapped. Although some systems do exist, they are often inadequate, requiring tedious research by the user. With its BlueParking.eu project, the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE) aims to clearly improve the parking situation for people with a disability.
